Classroom Behavior Chart
Each student will have a behavior chart. Each day the students will start at green, I will give a verbal warning for all behaviors that do not meet classroom expectations. I will also give verbal praise for expected classroom behaviors. At this time it is the students responsibility to correct a behavior or continue a positive behavior. After a classroom warning or praise is given and I observe the same behavior, I will then have the student turn their card to orange. The next time a card is turned the student will miss recess. There will be no working your way back to green.
Students may also sit on the bench even if they are not on red if the behavior violates the rules and expectations of PBIS. Students will also receive a violation for not having their agendas signed or not having their homework completed. Students that receive a violation for their agenda or homework will sit on the bench during recess. They will not have switch a card fore these violations due to the fact that these are a responsibility issue and not a behavior issue.
*Please refer to the fourth grade implementation for Positive Behavior Intervention and Support
(PBIS) for more details.
